CoSpace opened in 2019 above a bike shop on Valencia Street. No franchise, no head office, no growth targets.
How it started
Dana and Ray were freelancers who kept losing tables at the same cafe. In 2019 they took a lease on 14,000 empty square feet and filled it with secondhand desks and one very good espresso machine.
Seven years later the desks are better and the espresso machine is the same one. We are still independent, still month to month, and still answer the phone ourselves at (415) 555-0142.
